Analysis of energy release rate and bending-to-stretching behavior in the shaft-loaded blister test

چکیده
We present a theoretical study of shaft-loaded blister test for the determination of the adhesion strength of thin polymer films and coatings to rigid substrates. The relationships among strain energy release rate, load, deflection and residual stress are fully investigated. A series of numerical results of finite element analysis allow us to verify the theory quantitatively and thus estimate the validity region of our solution, which ought to have significant implications in many technological situations. 2008 Elsevier Ltd. A theoretical study of a thin-film delamination using shaft-loaded blister test: Constitutive relation without delamination
This paper presents exact solutions for nonlinear large deflection of thin circular membrane loaded by a central point force using blister test with two types of boundary conditions and with or without residual stress cases. A comparisonwith existing solutions is presented, and a geometrically nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) is conducted to verify our analytical solutions. & 2008 Elsevi...
متن کاملPart A- Experimental: Experimental Analysis of Crack Propagation in Pre-stressed Concrete Sleepers by Fracture Mechanics
This study investigates propagation of mode I crack in B70 pre-stressed concrete sleepers by fracture mechanics approach. A new experimental analysis is done for notched B70 pre-stressed concrete sleepers with Replica test and image analysis. A scanning electron microscope test (SEM) and an image analysis are applied for the Replica test in order to determine crack length and crack mouth openin...
متن کاملExperimental Analysis of Crashworthiness Behavior of Energy Absorber Tubes Under 3D Oblique Load
Actual applications of the energy absorbers showed that actual loads are not applied in the form of pure axial compression, pure bending or pure torsion. In reality, an energy absorber component may be subjected to combined loading of compression, bending and torsion. A number of previous articles have investigated the behavior of energy absorbers under oblique loading. In such cases, the obliq...
متن کاملPropagation of Matrix Cracking and Induced Delaminatin in Cross-Ply Composite Beams Subjected to Bending Loads
Due to the mismatch of mechanical properties in composite laminates, propagation of delami-nation is considered as a severe damage mechanism in beams with various lay-up configurations. Delamination can be generated due to matrix cracking propagation or it can also be initiated due to the manufacturing process before using composite beams. Using a micromechanics model, this study is aimed to in...
متن کاملDevelopment and Evaluation of Amoxicillin Loaded Carbopol 934P Mucoadhesive Microcapsules for Sustained Drug Release for H. pylori Treatment
Amoxicillin (α-amino-p-hydroxybenzyl-penicillin) is a semi-synthetic, orally absorbed and widely prescribed β-lactam antibiotic. It is now widely used for eradication of gastric Helicobacter pylori infection combined with a second antibiotic and an acid‐suppressing agent despite its short elimination half-life of one hour. The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate amoxicillin loaded...
